Well, writing something good always entails some form of procrastination. Writing a good essay can always involve some delaying tactics!
I guess that's where I am at the moment, all thinking and no writing.
I simply am at the planning stage, one which takes on a life of it's own. It is almost as if the planning becomes a person.

How do I start? How do I develop this argument? What do I do with this plan?

Clearly I am putting off the inevitable. Final semester essays are due soon and I need to get on with the job.

I hope that I am not the only one who procrastinates every so often, not the one who has a BLANK from time to time?

I am sure that I will have an epiphany any time now and become a writing machine!

The essays will be completed on time! I will get the best mark possible!

Doesn't positive thinking help?

I think this reminds me of a line in a movie. Oh yes I remember now!

I think while writing this I have gained some insight.

My epiphany has developed during the last four lines.

Writing machine here I come!

  1. I think the planning is always the longest part of the journey.
I'm sure you will have some ideas soon enough, then comes the writing stage!
    Don't you love major essays?

  2. Oh yes! Thanks for the comment, I think I now have an idea for the essays I will see where it takes me!
